the time is upon us
Yes friends, DSU Elections 2009 are around the corner. Vague promises, irrelevant guarantees, crazy rantings… bitchy in-fighting… kinda makes me feel like Riverdancing. This year is going to be especially exciting: elections coverage has a new home at punditry.ca, and great plans are afoot.
Speculation about who might run is rampant… I have MY rumour list, do you have yours? Or better yet, are you planning to run? As always, feel free to share via the comments.
Elections 2009 schedule:
Feb 16: Nominations for election open
Mar 3: Nominations for elections close
Mar 4: Candidates Café (also, the General Meeting)
Mar 9–16: Campaign period
Mar 17-19: Election voting (results party on the 19th)
Also, the content from the 2008 elections (as covered at MikeSmit.com) have been moved here, for those of you not familiar with the history of DSU elections coverage… To my eternal and lasting regret, the hojillion comments were not transferred over.
